Terms of service
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These terms govern use of this public-facing BookBag website (bookbag.com.au). Separate agreements apply where a school or library subscribes to the full BookBag application for day-to-day operations.
Agreement
By browsing or submitting information through forms, pledges, sign-up flows, or login features on this site, you confirm that you accept these Terms and have reviewed the Privacy policy.
Nature of service
The public site is operated on an as available, best-efforts basis. BookBag seeks reliable hosting and email delivery, but interruptions, degradation, inaccuracies in third-party bibliographic metadata, SMTP delays, or security-related interruptions can occur.
Pledges and community support
Wishlists describe titles a school or library hopes the community might help supply. Buttons such as Pay School summarise how fulfilment might be organised; they do not constitute a payment transaction with BookBag unless clearly stated elsewhere in signed paperwork.
Administrative fulfilment—including timing, invoicing where relevant, acknowledgement to donors, reconciliation, and shelving—remains primarily between the supporter and the school or library unless BookBag has explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
Additional pledge methods configured through environment variables are presented for convenience and may change as operational practice evolves.
Accounts and OTP login
Passwordless access relies on controlling the email inbox you register. Protect devices and inboxes appropriately. Repeated failed verification attempts may be rate limited or flagged as suspicious activity.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse forms, circumvent rate limits, attempt unauthorised access, harvest personal data disclosed by others, impersonate organisations or individuals, or introduce malware. BookBag may suspend interaction or escalate abuse to providers or regulators where warranted.
Subscriptions and bookkeeping surfaces
Where summaries of subscriptions or invoices appear for authorised users, they reflect database records maintained in good faith. They are indicative and may omit historical nuance retained only in archival systems or correspondence. Commercial renewal workflows remain conversational unless explicitly contracted.
Privacy and subcontractors
Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy policy. Ordinary operation involves infrastructure and communications providers acting under instruction. Personal information is not intentionally sold.
Liability
Where legislation such as the Australian Consumer Law applies, statutory rights remain. Otherwise, BookBag limits liability—including for indirect or consequential losses—to the maximum extent reasonably permitted.
Changes
Terms and the Privacy policy may be updated periodically. Publication dates at the top of each document summarise the latest substantive refresh for quick reference.
Contact
Questions should be routed through contact tools on this site or the support inbox referenced within BookBag correspondence.
